Living in Águilas

Águilas lies around two bays, Levante and Poniente, separated by the rocky headland with the Castillo de San Juan. The town has a working fishing harbour, a lively centre around the Plaza de España and a carnival that is known far beyond the region.

To the west and to the north-east the coast is quieter, with small coves and protected landscapes such as the area around Cabo Cope. Homes range from apartments near the seafront to townhouses and villas on the edge of town. The border with Andalusia is close by.
