Living in Los Alcázares

Los Alcázares lies on the western shore of the lagoon. Its promenade runs past beaches and the traditional wooden piers, the balnearios, that reach out into the water. The calm, shallow water of the Mar Menor is popular for swimming with children and for sailing lessons.

The town has life all year, with shops, restaurants and a weekly market. Homes include apartments near the front and bungalows and townhouses in the residential areas further inland. Cartagena and the international airport are within easy reach by car.
